The Importance of Teen Employment

Featuring: Renée Ward

In this podcast, we feature Renée Ward, Founder of Teens4Hire.org, a nationwide nonprofit that prepares high school and junior college age individuals for the workplace so companies want to hire and retain them.

Teen participation in the labor force has fallen steadily over the past two decades, and at the same time, there is a shortage of skilled workers for American companies. Yet, a majority of high school students receive little or no career guidance, and the courses of study they choose have little correlation to available jobs.

Online since 2002, Teens4Hire.org exists to address these needs and more.
