Marty Brounstein

On a journey now into its 9th year with 750 events and counting, storyteller and author Marty Brounstein shares a true, inspirational story of rescue related to his book The Righteous Few: Two Who Made a Difference. It's the story of a young couple, Frans and Mien Wijnakker, from the Netherlands who saved the lives of more than two dozen Jews in World War II and the Holocaust -- including performing a miracle to get a baby born, Marty's wife. His storytelling presentation on the Wijnakkers plus talks he delivers on other Heroes of the Holocaust, little known stories of those involved in resistance and rescue, resonate positively with a variety of audiences because of the valuable messages they convey that counter the divisive cultural climate of today. This includes his Making a Positive Difference program he takes into workplaces that promotes values such as ethics, respect for diversity, quality service, and leadership. Marty's career as a history teacher, human resources executive, and 25 years of leading his own management consulting business have come together in the journey of sharing this inspirational story. In fall 2019 Marty was named a recipient of the prestigious honor the Jefferson Award from Multiplying Good, a national organization that recognizes acts of public service and good in America that was originally founded in 1972 by leaders such as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
