Tip #1

You must be enthusiastic about your topic of
expertise.  Some people think an expert has to
sound like a professor but the opposite is true.
You should try to sound more like a cheerleader
if anything!

Speak in simple terms, don’t throw in a bunch
of big words to sound like an intellectual.
Learn how to express your topic in an appealing,
simple yet exciting manner.   Work on the way you
discuss your expertise to get the producer
visualizing how your segment can work.

Don’t use acronyms or slang related to your
expertise.  Producers want to know that you’ll be
able to get excited about your topic AND that the
audience will be able to understand you.
